The regular chapter meeting will be held on July 11th. Future chapter meetings will also be held on the second Saturday of each month, and will be continued on that date for the foreseeable future. Meetings are open to anyone with an interest in building, restoring, and flying airplanes. The meetings will be held at the Hidden Lake Pavilion in the Hidden Lake Community starting at 9:00 AM. There is ample parking in front of the building. Remember to get to the pavilion you go in the WEST entrance to the community and follow Airway Boulevard parallel to the runway to the north end. Continue through the open gate till you see the cars and park on the left. Hidden Lake Community is off Ridge Rd about three miles east of Little Rd.

Presidents Corner: Well it's almost that time again. I thought I would reflect back on some of my aviation friends and think about how lucky I am to have them in my life. I have two of my best friends who are airplane freaks like I am and we have such good times together. I have a great friend who helped me out, someone he really didn't know all that well, by offering the use of his plane to finish my Private. I was also extremely lucky to have just as good a friend in a flight instructor who checked me out, fine tuned me and got me thru my checkride! I'd like you all to take a few minutes and think about those people in your past that have helped you along the way, or who's company you truly enjoy. Know that they are there always and that there are more friends, just as good or better, coming along in your future. A future in this wonderful world of aviation. I hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend. I know I did. A couple of those friends and myself went to Fantasy of Flight. Their first time, not mine. We had a blast. I'll see you all this Saturday!

We had our fist flyout of 2009 a couple of weeks ago. We had 28 people fly down to Sebring for breakfast. A Great turnout and certainly Great company. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to do 3 to 4 per year if possible. Please feel free to submit possible future flyout locations to me. We have mentioned Bartow, Crystal River, and another one or two I cant remember as possibilities. Please email me any ideas you may have so that we can talk about it a couple of months ahead to set it up.

Also keep in mind that we will need someone new to do the coffee snd drinks for next months meeting.

Opening: Scott Murphy called the meeting of EAA Chapter 791 to order at 0920 hrs on June, 13th, 2009 at Hidden Lake Airport Pavilion with the Pledge of Allegiance and a Moment of Silence.

Approval of Previous Months Minutes: Motion to accept by Scott Post and seconded by Steve Carper. Previous months minutes were approved.

Treasurers Report: See Les Conwell for more information. We have 43 dues paid members. If you have not yet paid your dues for this year please do so ASAP.

Announcements:

Old Business: Sebring Fly-out was held on May 30th. There was a general consensus that despite the cloudy weather the event was a success. If anyone has pictures, please forward them to Scott or Dean.

New Business: John Edwards discussed membership and EAA's membership program. We can invite other local non-members to attend for 6 months with free EAA membership. Question was raised as to whether this would include Chapter membership. John Voda made motion that Chapter should extend 6 month free membership, Harold seconded the motion and the motion was approved.

Next Fly-out? Question of when to have the next fly-out was discussed. General consensus was to wait until Fall, after the Hurricane/wet season.

Volunteer for bringing the coffee and drinks to the July 11 meeting is Wayne White.

Pete Goutierre discussed discovering that he had a previously unknown cousin and finding a 1928 ship's manifest that listed Pete and his family for a trip from Liverpool to Boston. He also found a manifest for a banana boat which he worked on as a teen from New York to Central America.

Safety Tips:Look for wildlife when making approaches or takeoffs.

Meeting Program:Steve Carper and Pete Porebski discussed their recent trip to Roanoke, Virginia to retrieve a 1959 Cessna 172 that Pete purchased. Highlights of the trip included:
